Accreditation
A certificate is only worth what stands behind it. Accreditation is the independent assessment of the certifier — proof that our competence, impartiality, and independence have been examined by a national or international authority, and re-examined on a continuing basis.
Itmad holds accreditation across three distinct scopes of work.

ISO/IEC 17020
Inspection bodies
Covers the competence and impartiality of bodies performing inspection. It is the basis on which our field, site, and pre-shipment inspection work is recognised.

ISO/IEC 17021
Management system certification
Governs bodies that audit and certify management systems. This is what stands behind an ISO 9001, 14001, or 45001 certificate issued by us.

ISO/IEC 17065
Product certification
Applies to bodies certifying products, processes, and services. It underpins our product conformity work across the GCC.

Every certificate we issue can be checked independently. If you have been given an Itmad certificate and want to confirm it is current and genuine, use the verification service.
Verify a certificateWhat accreditation is not
Accreditation applies to a defined scope. A body accredited for one standard is not thereby accredited for all of them. When comparing certification bodies, the question worth asking is not whether they are accredited, but for what — and by whom.
Training approvals
Our training arm operates under separate approvals from the education regulators in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with auditor courses recognised by Exemplar Global. These are distinct from the accreditations above and apply to course delivery rather than certification.
